My Journey

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and ‘managed’ my neurodevelopmental disorder for 20 years as best I could. During this time, I burnt out three times... Once as a professional tennis player, and twice as a business founder. 

Since my most recent burnout in 2020, I have dedicated myself to research and training to find a solution for creatives and entrepreneurs like me.  

I learned that the relationship between my 'higher self' and 'lower self' was broken. Pounding myself with the 'discipline stick' and dangling the 'carrot of motivation' wasn't working for me. 

Discovering and mastering my Flowjo has been life-changing for me. My ADHD is no longer a disadvantage I need to 'manage', but a competitive advantage I can leverage.

    I firmly believe that you have all the answers to all your questions. My job is to help you find them. And as such, my coaching style is more ‘inquisitive’ than ‘directive’. I am curious, open-minded, and always open to feedback. Mastering my craft as a coach is a life-long journey for me, I will never stop learning or improving. I only work with creatives and entrepreneurs who genuinely inspire me, which means I become obsessed with achieving the best possible results for my clients. I draw from a range of different coaching and psychotherapy modalities (see above), as well as the latest neuroscience on mindset and peak performance. I draw from the hundreds of founders I’ve worked with over the past decade. Well, Dr. Hallowell is a renowned expert on ADHD, who coined the term "ADT" to distinguish between the two. ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, which is a PERMANENT neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by executive dysfunction, inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity and emotional dysregulation. ADT stands for Attention Deficit Trait, which is a TEMPORARY condition caused by external factors and consistent cognitive overload. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder): Nature: ADHD is a neurobiological condition that is typically present from childhood. Origin: It has a strong genetic component and is related to brain chemistry and structure. Persistence: ADHD is a chronic condition that persists throughout life, though symptoms may change or lessen with age and treatment. Scope: It affects various aspects of life, including work, relationships, and personal activities. Diagnosis: It is a clinical diagnosis based on specific criteria outlined in the DSM-5. ADT (Attention Deficit Trait): Nature: ADT is a stress-induced condition that mimics ADHD symptoms. Persistence: ADT is situational and can be reversed when the environmental stressors are reduced or managed effectively. Scope: It primarily affects work performance and productivity but can spill over into personal life. Diagnosis: It is not a clinical diagnosis but rather a descriptive term for a set of behaviors and experiences. Key Differences: Cause: ADHD is largely genetic and neurobiological, while ADT is environmentally induced. Onset: ADHD typically begins in childhood, while ADT can develop at any age, often in adulthood. Duration: ADHD is a lifelong condition, while ADT can be temporary and situational. Treatment: ADHD often requires medication and long-term behavioral strategies, while ADT can be managed primarily through lifestyle changes and stress reduction techniques.
